Our work of Research and Development of new apiculture-based products and processes to improve Quality, it has been articulated through different R + D + i projects both internally and in collaboration with other companies and highly prestigious entities, framed within state and regional programs of support and promotion of R + D + i in the field industrial.

PRIMO MENDOZA AT THE HEAD OF INNOVATION IN THE BEEKEEPING SECTOR
Primo Mendoza has been characterized since its origins (more than 100 years ago) for taking on challenges, for trying to go one step further and for meeting objectives established from self-demand thanks to the spirit of self-improvement that has led him to a leading position within the sector.
Primo Mendoza has always had the conviction that in order to endure over time and grow as a company, the best possible product must be offered. Today, in addition, we know that we must offer different products, we must meet the needs and demands of the market, but without abandoning what has been the soul of our activity for 100 years: the enhancement of beekeeping products. In short, we must innovate with tradition.
In line with this fundamental pillar, Primo Mendoza has been involved in a cooperative project with 7 other companies for the development of satiating foods that improve the nutritional quality of products, as well as the health of consumers, offering solutions to weight control . This is the objective under which the SATISFOOD research project is developed: Development and Validation of Satiating Foods through the integration of pre- and post-ingestive signals.
SATISFOOD, one of the 23 research projects approved by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) in the second call 2015 of the Strategic Program for Business Research Consortiums (CIEN), brings together eight companies – Carinsa, Fruselva, Viscofan, Biopartner , Primo Mendoza, El Horreo Healthy Food, Friobas and Matarromera- and several research centers (Universities of Navarra and Miguel Hernández, AINIA, IATA-CSIC, ANFACO-CECOPESCA, Hospital La Paz (IdiPaz) and Leitat.
The Strategic Program for Business Research Consortiums (CIEN) finances large industrial research and experimental development projects, developed in effective collaboration by business groups and aimed at carrying out planned research in strategic areas for the future and with potential international projection.
By participating in this ambitious 4-year project, Primo Mendoza, together with the rest of the consortium of companies, hopes to be able to provide new solutions that translate into new products to offer to the market in order to help fight against overweight and obesity. obesity, one of the main public health problems given the relationship between excess weight and serious health problems such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, dyslipidemia, locomotor system disorders and even some types of cancer.
In this sense, Primo Mendoza will contribute his intimate knowledge of honey and other bee products to develop new functional solutions aimed at weight control with beehive products as the cornerstone.
